A mother has sketched a daily doodle in her diary to document a whole year of family life while in lockdown.
Mother-of-three Angie Stevens, 46, from Swansea, South Wales, has been putting pen to paper in her garden shed to sketch her way through the pandemic.
The diary documents the changes in day-to-day life since March last year as the UK was plunged into multiple lockdowns.
Angie’s children Millie, 17, Evie, 13, and Gruff, 11, often feature in the heartwarming drawings, which include illustrations of self-distancing queues at the supermarket and daily walks with their dogs.
She also captured her morning trips to the front door to collect her milk bottles as well as the emotional highs and lows of homeschooling.
Angie said: ‘This pandemic is an important time in history and one day people will want to know all about it. I realised my doodles of our family could document the bizarre, inconsequential and funny moments during this really difficult time.’

Angie becoming emotional when realising schools are to close. She is seen being comforted by her pet cat, while her hands are placed against her face in distress. Commenting on her drawings, the mother said: ‘I realised my doodles of our family could document the bizarre, inconsequential and funny moments during this really difficult time’

A local playground closed due to the coronavirus. Describing the thought process behind her drawings, Angie said: ‘I wondered what I could draw about. I realised the best thing to draw about was what I knew – my own everyday life. I began drawing about family life in all its messy glory’
