The Bachelor’s Bella Varelis BLASTS producers for her biased edit

The Bachelor’s Bella Varelis BLASTS producers for her one-dimensional edit and claims it didn’t tell the whole story of her feud with Irena Srbinovska

Bachelor viewers were quick to turn on Bella Varelis this season, after her tirade against former best friend Irena Srbinovska at the post-lockdown cocktail party.

And weeks after the finale aired, Bella Varelis claims she’s still upset over how she was portrayed on the show – and insists her edit doesn’t reflect her actual personality or tell the ‘whole story’ of what happened.

In a YouTube Q&A video, the 25-year-old revealed: ‘At the beginning of the season, I am a complete hopeless romantic. I love fairytales, and I love Disney.

‘Yes they did show me getting angry, but I am a woman! I have more than one emotion. It was hard for me to watch back,’ she added.

‘I really struggled in the mansion at one point. Seeing a situation coming across on camera that was the furthest from the truth, really was hard to watch back.’

She reiterated that she wasn’t the ‘villain’ she was portrayed as on screen, adding: ‘Probably about five per cent of what was filmed has been used.

‘People kind of see the Bella that was shown on The Bachelor, and they think that is all I have to me, and they think that’s the person I am.

‘I have more depth to me than that, and unfortunately being on TV, people are very quick to make assumptions and jump to conclusions about you and think that they know you.

‘I think at the end of the day, they could only show so much, and unfortunately what they did show wasn’t the whole story.’

Towards the end of the series, Bella turned on the show’s eventual winner, Irena, despite the fact they’d been friends since the start of filming.

Viewers watched Bella ice out Irena at the first post-lockdown cocktail party, after the women had been forced to spend three months at home communicating with Bachelor Locky Gilbert via Zoom, phone calls and texts.

Upon their return to the mansion, Bella branded Irena a ‘manipulative little b***h’ and claimed she was exaggerating her relationship with Locky.

‘I think she’s got a rose because they do have a really good connection. I think she’s very good at manipulating and making herself come across as a victim,’ Bella said.

‘It just sucks because both of my last relationships have been ruined because there was a girl that’s come in that’s manipulated it. And she’s doing exactly that,’ she told the other women.

At the time, Bachelor fans flocked to Twitter to slam the brunette’s behaviour and labelled her a ‘hypocrite’.

‘If anyone’s manipulating Locky now it’s you Bella,’ one person wrote, while another added: ‘You used to be my favourite!’

It worked out well for Irena, however. She has just moved to Perth with Locky after he picked her in the season finale.

Happily ever after: After telling both women he loved them, Locky chose nurse Irena has his winner. The pair are still together and have since moved to Perth
