SAS Australia feud EXPLODES on radio: Firass Dirani is confronted by Merrick Watts

His bratty behaviour has made him one of the most divisive recruits on SAS Australia.

And on Friday, actor Firass Dirani was confronted about his actions by his co-star Merrick Watts live on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

The comedian called into the show and locked horns with Firass after the Underbelly star revealed on air how his rivals had tried to vote him off the military-style show.

SAS Australia’s biggest feud explodes on live radio: On Friday, Firass Dirani (pictured) was confronted by his rival Merrick Watts on The Kyle and Jackie O Show

Merrick, 46, called in when they were taking listener calls and said that Firass was part of a ‘classic radio stitch-up’.

Radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson then asked Merrick if he ‘has beef’ with Firass, but the funnyman tried to play it cool.

‘Why would I have a problem with Firass?’ Merrick said.

Firass then said he didn’t ‘have a problem’ with Merrick either, but thought that Merrick had targeted him unfairly on SAS Australia.

‘I don’t have a problem with you Merrick, I just felt like I was a little singled out and  you were trying to baby me,’ the explained.

Merrick hit back, saying that Firass had, in fact, behaved like a child.

‘Yeah, because I’m a dad, Firass, and you’re a child, that’s why,’ he said bluntly.

Say what? Kyle and Jackie O then asked Merrick if he 'has beef' with Firass, when Merrick tried to play it cool. Firass then said he didn't 'have a problem' either, but thought that on the show, Merrick targeted him and treated him like a child

Firass then explained how Merrick would have a go at him every time he tried to light a fire on the show, and that they bickered constantly.

After going back and forth for a while, the two men tried to bury the hatchet.

‘Firass, you know this, I don’t hold grudges… I had beef and then I moved on,’ Merrick said.

Firass responded by saying he felt the same and that he was ‘not blaming anyone’.

Before the awkward call, Firass had slammed Merrick and several of his co-stars on air, accusing them of conspiring to vote him out.

He also said Merrick would always tries to be the funniest person in the room, but often failed.

‘He’s got this, I don’t know what kind of syndrome it is, it’s like no one else can be funny in the room, some kind of comedian thing,’ Firass said.

When asked about his feuds with Merrick and Biggest Loser trainer Shannan Ponton, Firass made it clear he didn’t want to discuss them, but said there was ‘no love lost’.

‘I don’t want to talk about them but it’s all good, different generations, different generational curses or whatever,’ he said.

‘No love lost, but [we] wouldn’t see eye to eye and I just think they had a construct in their head of who they think they wanted me to be.

‘When I rocked up and was fit, flamboyant and had something to say, it didn’t sit well with them.’

He said that everyone on the show with the exception of Candice Warner had wanted to vote him off – even though there is no voting on SAS Australia and recruits instead leave by voluntary withdrawal.

‘They actually go to Ant [Middleton, the chief instructor] and they go, “We’ve come to the conclusion we want number 11 out,”‘ Firass said.

The cast have become increasingly frustrated with Firass on the show, as his insubordination has resulted in group punishments.

Merrick pleaded with Firass to ‘stop gobbing off’ and start listening on Tuesday’s episode, to which the actor sarcastically replied that it wasn’t ‘his first barbecue’.

Merrick appeared on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa on Wednesday and promised more spats with Firass in the coming episodes.

‘Yeah, 100 per cent, I’ve got another blow-up in there, don’t you worry about that!’ he said.

However, Merrick clarified that he did not consider Firass a bad person, saying he was just not the best team player.

‘To be honest, if Firass rang me right now and said, “Do you want to go get coffee, or have a beer tonight?” I’d go have a beer with Firass… but put it this way, I wouldn’t want to be starting a recreational basketball team with him,’ he said.

SAS Australia continues Monday from 7:30pm on Channel Seven
