‘I couldn’t put them through it’: Evicted MasterChef star Ben Milbourne admits he hasn’t told his children that he was kicked off the cooking competition
Ben Milbourne was evicted on Sunday night’s episode of MasterChef: Back to Win.
But it appears the chef is yet to tell his daughter Charlotte, five, and son Jack, three, that he shares with wife Sally.
On Monday night’s episode of The Project, co-host Peter Helliar asked Ben, 38, how his kids were coping with the news.

‘To be honest Pete, I haven’t told them yet!’ he replied.
‘We have been watching the show religiously, and they love the show,’ he continued.
‘Every time we watch it they plead with me, ”Dad, you are not going to get eliminated”, and last night I couldn’t put them through it.’

Ben then revealed that instead of watching his elimination episode, he opted to watch the animated film How To Train Your Dragon with his family instead.
Pete responded by saying: ‘That is a tearjerker… you are going to make them sad twice.’
Ben, a former secondary school teacher, then revealed he is planning to break the devastating news shortly.

On Sunday night, Ben’s salmon dish failed to impress the judges who found it so acidic, it was deemed inedible.
He found himself in the bottom two, alongside South Australia’s Rose Adam.
