It’s a reality makeover show with a deadly twist.
And Quibi’s new Murder House Flip is already gaining notoriety for its focus on remodeling homes where brutal and infamous killings have taken place.
In the latest episodes available to download, the show’s hosts Joelle Uzyel and Mikel Welch visit a suburban Los Angeles ranch-style house where child star Judith Barsi was murdered by her father in 1988.

In 2001, the Bernal family purchased the property and, according to TooFab.com’s review of the show, claim they had no idea of its history.
However, Francisco Bernal told the show:’The house had the bad energy when we moved in.’
A neighbor subsequently informed them of what had taken place and how Judith Barsi and her mother Maria had been shot by József Barsi in July 1988, who then spent two days in the home with the bodies before setting them on fire and killing himself.
Judith, who was 10 at the time of her death, had started acting professionally in 1984 and appeared in Cheers, Growing Pains, Cagney And Lacey, Punky Brewster, St. Elsewhere, The Love Boat and Jaws 4: The Revenge.

Judith was 10 when she and her mother Maria were shot by József Barsi, who then spent two days in the home with the bodies before setting them on fire and killing himself. Judith’s body is carried from the home by LA County Deputy Coroner David Masuda on July 27, 1988
Gaby Bernal, who was the same age as the murdered girl when the family first moved into the home, sleeps in what was Judith’s bedroom.
‘I didn’t sleep last night at all. I felt like someone was watching me,’ she said on the Quibi episode, per TooFab.com. ‘Stuff like that makes it very real and scary and very unsettling.’
The family also claimed they feel József’s presence in the house and hear footsteps as if someone is walking behind them.
The show hosts decide to transform the home by knocking out the window in the bedroom to let ‘light and good energy in.’
They also brighten up the hallway with fresh paint and new fixtures and redesign the backyard.
The full makeover will be shown in the final episode available on Quibi on Wednesday April 22.
