‘People have often told me they found him intimidating. But to Matt and I, we have been so lucky to have been blessed with such an affectionate, loving dad,’ she said, breaking down in tears.

As she wrapped up her touching tribute, Kate admitted ‘I miss your warm embrace’ but that ‘mostly I just miss you’.

‘I will love you with all of my heart and soul forever.’

‘I hope I will see you in my dreams,’ the songstress tearfully concluded.

As well as Kate, Gudinski was father to a son, Matt, who he shared with wife Sue.

Kate’s own music career began when she signed to her father’s label, Liberation Music, in 2004.

Her third single, All I Hear, was an ARIA top 10 hit in 2006.

Gudinski died in his sleep while at home in Melbourne at the age of 68 earlier this month.
