Married At First Sight’s Belinda Vickers and Patrick Hayes Dwyer lash out at James Susler

Belinda Vickers and Patrick Hayes Dwyer got into a furious fight with James Susler during Wednesday’s episode of Married At First Sight.

During a heated dinner conversation, Belinda got into a tense confrontation with James, 44, while defending his wife, Joanne Todd.

An angry Belinda accused James of being ‘so controlling’, and told him he’d been treating Joanne, 39, ‘like absolute s**t’.

‘I’ve actually heard that you’ve been talking about me behind my back as well… Apparently I’m a frigid. You called me a frigid,’ Belinda, 29, continued.

While James didn’t deny making the offensive remark, he argued that he’d posed it as a question, not a comment.

‘No, it wasn’t a question. It was a statement, and you asked if she was a virgin,’ interjected Joanne.

Watching the conversation play out from across the table, Patrick, 27, was seen becoming increasingly agitated as James traded insults with his ‘wife’.

‘No, I said, “Is she?” That’s conversation, it’s not talking behind your back,’ James insisted, while Joanne and Belinda both sat glaring at him.

‘Also, you were saying that I push Pat’s hand away when he puts his hand on my lap, I turn away his hugs, and I don’t kiss him when he kisses me,’ continued Belinda.

But a nonchalant James couldn’t understand what the ‘big deal’ was with the comments he’d made.

‘To be honest, that word is very insulting and offensive to me. Like, I’ve explained on the couch that this is my first relationship and I’m taking things slow,’ she said.

But James shrugged her comments off and insisted there was ‘nothing wrong’ with him asking if Belinda was ‘frigid’.

As things escalated, Patrick stood up from his seat and moved next to Belinda, before also lashing out at James.

‘Even if you said it as a question, why bring it up? Because you know how hurtful that’s been to Belinda,’ Patrick told him.

A seemingly shocked James claimed he had no idea Belinda had gotten upset, which only got her more fired up.

‘Did you not just hear me before? I said how offensive that was!’ continued a seething Belinda.

‘Can you not see that, James? Say sorry,’ added an incensed Patrick.

After spitting out a quick ‘sorry’, Patrick told James he needed to do better than that.

'That's not a sorry. That's not a sorry at all, James! Say sorry to her,' shouted Patrick, prompting an insolent James to splutter, 'I just did'

After a few tense moments, James finally said: ‘I’m actually sorry… I didn’t realise it actually hurt you. I’m actually sorry about that. I really am. It’s not personal.’

Still enraged, Belinda later admitted that she wasn’t convinced James’ apology was ‘sincere’, and said she was ‘over’ him and his bad behaviour.
