Daniel Kaluuya and Carey Mulligan among the stars set to host Saturday Night Live in coming months

Daniel Kaluuya and Carey Mulligan, both on the heels of Oscar nominations, will host Saturday Night Live for the first time in the coming months, the show announced Tuesday.

One-time cast member Maya Rudolph, who plays Vice President Kamala Harris in the show’s political sketches, is slated to return to Studio 8H for the March 27 edition of the program, in which Jack Harlow will perform.

Kaluuya, who’s nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Judas and the Black Messiah, is set to host April 3. The Golden Globe-winning star had a cameo introducing Childish Gambino in a May 2018 appearance.

St. Vincent, who was a musical guest on the show in 2014, will appear in support of her upcoming album Daddy’s Home, which is set to arrive in mid-May.

Mulligan, who is nominated for Best Actress for Promising Young Woman, is scheduled to host on April 10, with Kid Cudi making his first appearance as musical guest on the NBC comedy staple. The artist’s Man on the Moon III: The Chosen came out in late 2020.

Guest hosts to kick off 2021 include John Krasinski, Dan Levy, Regina King, Regé-Jean Page, and Nick Jonas. Other hosts in the show’s 46th season, which began this past October, include Chris Rock, Issa Rae and Dave Chappelle, with musical guests including Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber and the Foo Fighters.

Rudolph, speaking with Entertainment Weekly last summer, opened up about her fondness for returning to the series, calling it her ‘favorite place to play.’

‘I love going to the show. Any excuse I can get, I love,’ she said. ‘Ever since I was a kid, truly, I wanted to be on any kind of SCTV, Saturday Night Live, and I can’t believe that I got to work there, and I can’t believe that it’s my family still. I’m so thrilled to even be associated with the show and that I got to go back. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving.’

During the chat, which had taken place about five months into the ongoing coronavirus shutdown, she reacted to an anticipated bump workload with her character Harris being named as the running mate for now-President Joe Biden.

‘I just didn’t really anticipate traveling during a pandemic, but if there’s anyone that can work it out I’m sure [the show’s creator] Lorne [Michaels] has some sort of invisible helicopter that can get me there.’

The program airs Saturday at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
