Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher ‘launch film business’ together

Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are reportedly set to launch a new business making films together.

The pair have registered the company Kosmic Kyte, which describes its purpose as ‘motion picture production activities’, according to The Sun.

Liam, 48, and Noel, 53, are both listed as directors of the new venture, alongside Alec McKinlay, who runs their management firm Ignition.

The reported launch could raise hopes that the pair are working on a film about their time in the band Oasis after teasing a reunion last month.

Oasis formed in 1991 and went on to sell more than 75million records worldwide.

If they did make a film about the band, it would follow the success of movies such as Rocketman which followed the life on icon Elton John and Bohemian Rhapsody which told Freddie Mercury’s story.

The band originally consisted of Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll.

MailOnline has contacted Noel and Liam Gallagher’s representatives for comment.

It comes after last month Liam teased an Oasis reunion as he took to Twitter to declare ‘it’s going to happen’ after one young fan begged the rockstar to give hope that the band will make a ‘come back.’

The Wonderwall crooner has been dropping hints that a reunion could be on the cards after he publicly ended the feud with his big brother on New Year’s Day.

The Twitter user wrote: ‘HEY LIAM,i need you to give me hope that oasis will come back please i’m 19 years old i want to live that concert, i HATE not being born earlier.’

And, Liam responded: ‘It’s going to happen,’ leaving hoards of fans convinced this declaration means that a reunion is imminent.

The interaction comes after Liam ended his feud with big brother Noel on New Year’s Day, as the clock struck midnight on a new decade.

The singer took to Twitter to reconcile with his estranged brother and former Oasis bandmate and announced: ‘this is our year’ leaving fans to predict a 2021 reunion for the supergroup.

Just after midnight as the UK went into the New Year, Liam tweeted: ‘HNY Noel love you long time 2021 is our year c’mon you know LG x’.

Noel didn’t respond, and Liam didn’t tag his brother’s Twitter handle into his reconciliation tweet.

After Liam extended an olive branch to his brother, fans went into meltdown over the prospect of Oasis getting back together.

At the same time, betting company Ladbrokes have given an Oasis reunion in 2021 odds of 10/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told The Sun: ‘Little By Little the odds of Oasis getting back together are shortening so fans may well get their wish this year.’

The brothers have not released a song together in more than a decade, after the band split 12 years ago.

The pair have been trading insults ever since Oasis split at their final concert in Paris in 2009 after a backstage bust-up.

The duo quickly went their separate ways when the band disbanded and their infamous decade-long feud has been running ever since.

In the aftermath of Oasis’s split, Liam set up a new band, Beady Eye, with former Oasis members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock.

The band released two albums, Different Gear Still Speeding and BE, before disbanding in 2014, persuading Liam to set out on his solo career.

Noel also set up his own rock band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, in 2010 with former Oasis members Gem, Mike, and Chris, and former Zutons star Russell Pritchard.

Despite the public war of words over the past 12 years, Liam and Noel have reportedly pocketed £5.4million from the Oasis back catalogue.

At the end of November 2020, Liam appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show, claiming there was ‘nothing left on the table’ to fix his row with Noel.

The Oasis frontman singer revealed his brother turned down £100million to join him on a reunion tour.

Speaking about Noel, who he said wouldn’t engage with the idea of ending their feud, Liam said: ‘I think we’re both the problem and the problem is that he thinks he’s not the problem. He thinks I’m both the problems.

‘Whereas I’m just a problem. I’m half the problem, whereas I can’t be having him thinking I’m the full problem.

‘He needs to take on some of the problem. The minute he does that we’ll move on. He needs to own his problem… No [I haven’t spoken to him]. I don’t think it’s going to happen.’

Asked by fellow guest Jon Richardson if they’d do Gogglebox together as a first step, Liam joked: ‘Maybe the Bake Off…

‘Maybe we’ll just bake some bread and that or a cake or throw strawberries at each other. Have a cream fight. That kind of stuff. Now you’re talking.’
