MasterChef is back! Judges Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo and Andy Allen return in an emotional teaser for the new season

MasterChef Australia is back for 2021 and it’s set to be one of the most emotional seasons yet.

Channel 10 has released a new trailer for the upcoming series and have confirmed judges Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo, and Andy Allen will all return to the popular reality TV show.

Despite having cooks who are not industry trained, Jock says the dishes that are served up on the new season are beyond restaurant quality.

‘While they may well be home cooks, as the season is progressing we’re seeing dishes that I’d be proud to have on my menu,’ he says in the footage.

Meanwhile, Andy says: ‘2020 was a year where people have really gone, ‘What am I doing with my life?’ Andy said into the camera. ‘And I think that has brought these contestants to this place.’

‘People have decided and realised, if not now, when?’ popular judge Melissa adds.

In the video, Jock went on to reveal that the  decision to join MasterChef was a make or break situation for many of the contestants.

‘They’re at a stage in their life where they know what they want to do. They’ve turned their life upside down to do this.’

Last year, fans saw new judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo replace Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston.

The all-stars Back To Win season also saw the return of fan favourites Poh Ling Yeow, Hayden Quinn and Callum Han.
