This year production has forced the show’s contestants to stay within Australia due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But there’s still plenty of drama and adventure, with the diverse group battling it out for the $250,000 prize money.

On Monday night, Shane and Deb Wilson were forced to withdraw from the show due to a shock injury.

The team called it quits after Shane’s pre-existing knee injury worsened and he was in agonising pain and unable to move.

‘I knew the hanging challenge had taken its toll on my knee. By the time I woke up in the morning I was in that much agony I couldn’t move,’ he said.

Shane made the decision that he and wife Deb had to withdraw from the race after he was put into a stretcher.

‘I was totally gutted and not just for myself but for Debora too, to take her out of the race,’ he admitted.
