Britney Spears’ beau Sam Asghari says he ‘will continue to support’ pop star … amid buzz surrounding Hulu doc

Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari spoke in support of his girlfriend Monday, amid continuing buzz surrounding a Hulu doc about the Grammy-winning pop star.

‘I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves,’ the 27-year-old fitness professional told People in a statement.

Asghari, a personal trainer, spoke to the outlet amid building buzz in the wake of the release of an unauthorized documentary titled The New York Times Presents Framing Britney Spears on Hulu, which examines the 39-year-old Lucky singer’s ongoing legal struggle over her conservatorship against her father, Jamie Spears.

Focused on the future: Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari, 27, spoke in support of his girlfriend, 39, on Monday, amid continuing buzz surrounding a Hulu doc about the pop star. The pair was snapped in LA in 2019

‘I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world,’ Asghari said, ‘and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together.’

Asghari, who’s been seen on the BET+ show Family Business, initially met Spears in 2016 when they worked together on her video, Slumber Party, and they began dating soon thereafter.

A source told Page Six on Monday that Spears has yet to take in the doc, which also focuses how the media covered her over the years.

‘As of Sunday, Britney hadn’t watched the documentary, but she’s aware of it,’ said the insider. ‘She had not seen any of it.’

Spears hasn’t watched the doc, as it would irritate her amid her ongoing legal battles with her father, the source said.

‘She’s chosen not to watch it because she’s fed up with the conservatorship,’ the source told the outlet. ‘She feels there is a hole missing in her life because of the conservatorship and that she won’t be able to live a normal life until that’s over. She knows it’s a battle for her whole life.’

Speaking with CNN in December, Jamie said he and Britney hadn’t talked in four months, and that he remained focused to remain at the head of the conservatorship.

‘When a family member needs special care and protection, families need to step up, as I have done for the last 12-plus years, to safeguard, protect and continue to love Britney unconditionally,’ he said. ‘I have and will continue to provide unwavering love and fierce protection against those with self-serving interests and those who seek to harm her or my family.’
