Married At First Sight relationship expert John Aiken offers fans a rare look inside his $2.9million estate in North Sydney- including a VERY bizarre piece of art in his living room

Married At First Sight’s resident expert John Aiken purchased a $2.9million estate in North Sydney last year.

And on Monday, the psychologist, 50, offered fans a rare look inside his home as he watched the MAFS Grand Reunion episode.

John shared a photo to Instagram of himself relaxing in his spacious living room and revealed a very bizarre piece of art in the corner.

In the corner of the living space, a unique half-dog half-man sculpture is visible next to a traditional fireplace.

The room also features a white book shelf, wooden table and a large television which is installed above the mantle piece.

It also appears John has changed the home’s dark wooden floors to lighter coloured floorboards after purchasing the estate for $2.93 million last year.

Built in the 1880s, John and his wife interior designer Kelly Swanson-Roe became the fifth owners of the historic sandstone property in more than 135 years.

The property has five bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for the couple and their two children; son Aston, 11, and daughter Piper, eight.

The home has both formal and informal living areas and a formal dining room.

Each room also has outward facing doors with glass panelling that step out onto the lower ground porch/terrace areas, or upper floor verandahs/balconies.

The property also has a renovated kitchen, and charming restored bathrooms.

A large swimming pool and alfresco entertainment area is also a short stroll from the property’s back doors.
