Jason Kennedy and his wife Lauren Scruggs Kennedy have started their path to parenthood, beginning their ‘IVF journey.’
The 39-year-old E! News host, who has been married to Scruggs since 2014, took to Instagram on Sunday morning, sharing the news in a new video.
The entertainment journalist was waiting in his vehicle with their beloved dog Bennett Doodle Kennedy when he revealed the news.

‘Well, it’s day one of our IVF journey. I’m very excited. Lo’s upstairs. Benny’s on duty. COVID — can’t go upstairs to be with her,’ Kennedy began.
He then explained, ‘If you don’t know what IVF means, it means in-vitro fertilization. It’s where they take the egg and the sperm and they do a little dance. Could have twins, could have more than twins. Could have one. Might not even have one.’
Kennedy added it’s a ‘good process’ before thanking his 547K followers for, ‘being on this journey with us.’

The video then resumed when his wife Scruggs was back in the car with her, as she revealed what happened.
‘I had a cyst, which means a follicle that didn’t release in the last period, so I have to take birth control for one month to regulate my ovaries,’ she said, while petting Benedict.
The video ended with Kennedy sharing that, ‘Next update in 1 month – thanks for watching xoxo.’

The couple started dating in the summer of 2013, a year and a half after Scruggs lost her left eye and part of her left hand after walking into a spinning plane propeller in December 2011.
They announced their engagement in late May 2014, with the couple tying the knot in December 2014 in Dallas.
Kennedy joined E! in 2005, and he started hosting E! News in April 2012, after the departure of Ryan Seacrest.

She is founder of the Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation, which provides women in need with high-quality prostheses.
