Dave Hughes joked that he’s ‘still batting’ above his average as he celebrated his fourteenth wedding anniversary with his wife, Holly Ife on Thursday.
The 50-year-old comedian took to Instagram to mark the occasion by sharing a gorgeous photo from the couple’s big day.
‘This day 2006. #stillbatting,’ he simply captioned the photo of the smiling bride and groom.

It appears his fans agreed with the star, as one commented: ‘Punching above your weight big time.’
Another said: ‘Well Hughesy, you are a very lucky man obviously. Definitely!!!!!!!’
Back in May, the radio announcer and his journalist wife celebrated the anniversary of their first date, which was a mere three days after they first laid eyes on each other.
During a segment on Dave’s Hit Network radio show, the duo celebrated 18 years together by reminiscing about the good times they’ve shared.

‘Luckiest day of my life, no doubt about it,’ Dave said on air.
‘I was under a lucky star that night,’ Holly, 40, agreed.
Old audio of Holly reading her diary from 2002 was then played, which revealed what her first impressions were of Dave.
At the time that she wrote Dave’s name in capital letters in the book, followed by: ‘He’s so, so, so, funny… but he wasn’t interested in me. I want to date him.’

Holly wasn’t sure if Dave was interested until he spoke about her on the following Monday morning on his radio show.
The comedian and TV host asked for her to call into the station, and after she did they went on a date that evening.

The funnyman read out what he wrote in his card this year: ‘Dear Holly, The only thing better than the 18 years together we’ve had together is the thought of all the years we still have ahead of us. Love you, Dave.’
‘It’s a beautiful message, and aren’t I lucky.’
‘He has been nothing but supportive and is a great dad who is always in a good mood with the kids. I’m very lucky.’
The couple who met at a Melbourne bar in 2002, have since gone on to live in marital bliss and share three children: Tess, six, Sadie, eight, and Rafferty, 10.
