Laverne Cox ‘is so excited’ to host ‘intimate’ weekly podcast for Shondaland in February

Transgender trailblazer Laverne Cox announced Monday that she’s ‘so excited’ to host her first-ever weekly podcast for Shondaland and iHeartRadio, which launches in February.

‘The Laverne Cox Show will feature intimate conversations that I hope will expand our consciousness and get us closer to becoming the very best versions of ourselves,’ the 48-year-old Daytime Emmy winner – who boasts 6.3M social media followers – wrote.

‘I hope you’ll join me in February on this journey I want us to go on together.’

This marks the second time Cox teamed up with the legendary showrunner Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal) as she’ll also act in her 10-episode limited series, Inventing Anna.

Laverne (born Roderick) plays celebrity trainer and life coach, Kacy Duke, who’s ‘mature and centered enough to stay out of any real trouble.’

‘Kacy gets sucked into the Anna (Julia Garner) whirlwind,’ the Shondaland description read last year.
