Pink reveals she’s fractured her ankle as she shares snap from hospital

Pink has revealed she’s in hospital after fracturing her ankle while running down the stairs, as she rounds out the year with yet another ailment.

The Trouble singer, 41, took to Instagram in the early hours of Saturday morning to share a selfie from hospital as she donned a face mask during treatment.

Mother-of-two Pink, real name Alecia Moore, was seen giving a thumbs up to the camera before revealing how she came upon her latest issue, following a staph infection, slashing her thumb and battling novel coronavirus.

Another trip to the hospital: Pink has revealed she’s in hospital after fracturing her ankle while running down the stairs, as she rounds out the year with yet another ailment

She wrote: ‘As if surviving covid wasn’t enough for this poop sandwich of a year! Well, I got my stitches out from drying that wine glass, that went well.

‘Then I recovered from my very first staph infection for no reason (cry for help?) (right knee was lonely?) so I thought I’d fracture my ankle!’

Joking about her run of bad luck, the star continued: ‘Later tonight I’m gonna climb inside a raw chicken and see if I can’t check out what salmonella’s like! 2020 is the gift that keeps on giving…’

Explaining how she came upon her most recent injury, she concluded: ‘I was actually running down the stairs trying to see the Christmas star! Ha! Turns out it’s not until the 21st. Happy holidays everyone! Who wants a Negroni!’

Back in May, Pink spoke candidly about the ‘terrifying’ experience she and her three-year-old son Jameson endured as they both battled COVID-19.

The three-time Grammy winner opened up about their ‘physically and emotionally challenging’ battle with the disease in an essay published by NBC News.

She wrote: ‘Battling COVID-19 along with my three-year-old son was the most physically and emotionally challenging experience I have gone through as a mother.

‘Weeks after receiving our test results, my son was still ill and feverish. It was a terrifying time, not knowing what might come next.’

She continued: ‘But our story is not unique; there are mothers all over America, and the world, that are facing this same uncertainty every single day.

‘Not every family, especially those living on reservations, or in refugee camps, slums, or favelas, are able to practice social distancing. In many parts of the world it can take hours just to access water, and even then, soap may be an impossible luxury.’

Pink revealed in early April that she and her son tested positive for coronavirus after showing symptoms and had since recovered.

She announced in her Instagram statement that she was donating $1million to COVID-19 relief.

The What About Us artist later shared a video of herself and Jameson in good spirits as they watched Ratatouille together in quarantine.
