The father of a two-year-old boy who went missing more than a year ago has said he is ‘overjoyed’ after his son was found in Germany and returned to Britain.
Benjamin Biendarra, 27, spoke of his relief after his child Emmanuel was located after being allegedly taken abroad by his German mother Kristina Nobis, 34.
A judge made an urgent appeal last month for help finding Emmanuel, who was living with his father in Kent under court orders when he disappeared late last year.

Emmanuel’s parents are separated. Mr Biendarra told BBC News yesterday that he was ‘overjoyed’ after his son was tracked down and returned.
Judge Justice Peel, who is based in the Family Division of the High Court in London, has been overseeing private hearings centred on Emmanuel.
He said at a hearing yesterday that Emmanuel had been found in Germany and was back in the UK.
The child lived with his father and it was agreed he would be spending the weekend of November 30 and December 1 last year with his mother.
But at the end of the weekend, Ms Nobis – who was said to have links to areas of Germany, Austria and Switzerland – did not return him.

Before Emmanuel was found, his father had said last month that he was ‘devastated’
Justice Peel had ruled that Emmanuel could be identified in media reports and called on anyone with information to contact police.
Before Emmanuel was found, Mr Biendarra had said he was ‘devastated’, and added: ‘I am so worried about his safety and urge anyone who knows anything to come forward and assist.’
The judge had said he was ‘very concerned’ about the boy when he issued the appeal.
Ms Nobis is thought to have links to Huefingen, Weiler im Allgaeu, the Lake Constance area, Scheidegg, and Lindenberg im Allgaeu, in Germany; Bregenz, in Austria; and Latsch and Sevgein in Switzerland.
