Turia Pitt welcomed her second son Rahiti earlier this year.

And on Saturday, the 33-year-old revealed how she’s been handling motherhood with two young boys.

The mother-of-two told The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies that she and her husband, Michael Hoskin, ‘don’t get much sleep in this household.’

‘My husband normally sleeps on the couch, and I go between Hakavai and Rahiti,’ she said.

‘We’re kind of in the thick of it, but I think when people ask me “How’s it going?” I always say it’s contextual, because it really does depend,’ she added.

The motivational speaker said: ‘Some days I think I’m killing it, I feel like I’m the best mum in the world.

‘And then other days I’m looking at my watch think “my god, it’s only eight o’clock, I have to get through this whole day, what am I going to do?”‘ So, yeah, I like to describe it as contextual,’ she explained.

Turia added that her boys have also taught her to live in moment and be more mindful, ‘all of those things actually help us to be happier as well.’

It comes as she releases her fifth book titled, Happy (and Other Ridiculous Aspirations).

She explained that while doing research into finding happiness, she found that it’s just as valid to feel positive emotions like motivation and joy, as it is to feel negative emotions like stress, anxiety and jealousy.

‘When we are feeling those potentially uncomfortable emotions, the best strategy that we can do is just to accept them, acknowledge them and that there’s nothing inherently wrong with them,’ she said.

‘That was a real revelation to me,’ she added.
