Liam and Noel Gallagher pocket £5.4million from Oasis back catalogue

Liam and Noel Gallagher ‘pocket £5.4million from Oasis back catalogue’ despite not releasing a song together in more than a decade

They have been in a public feud since Oasis split in 2009.

But despite the public war of words, Liam, 48, and Noel Gallagher, 53, have reportedly pocketed £5.4million from the Oasis back catalogue.

The brothers have not released a song together in more than a decade, after the band split 11 years ago.

Still earning: Liam, 48, and Noel Gallagher, 53, have pocketed £5.4million from the band’s back catalogue (pictured together in 1995)

On top of this, they have also earned an extra £107,000 from Oasis Merchandising Ltd, of which they are the directors, The Sun reported.

A source told the publication: ‘The figures are incredible given Noel and Liam haven’t had a record out together for over a decade. It’s a testament to Oasis’s superband status.

‘In an age where people can stream their music for free or just watch it on YouTube, it shows people are still willing to buy their records. And that’s great for the boys’ already sizable bank accounts.

‘They’ve got to be one of the most profitable duos that can’t stand to be in a room together.’

The two brothers have been trading insults ever since Oasis split at their final concert in Paris in 2009 after a backstage bust-up.

The duo quickly went their separate ways when the band disbanded and their infamous decade-long feud has been running ever since.

At the end of last month, Liam appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show and claimed there is ‘nothing left on the table’ to fix his row with Noel.

The singer revealed Noel turned down £100million to join him on a reunion tour.

Speaking about his brother Noel, who he says won’t engage with the idea of ending their feud for an Oasis comeback, Liam says: ‘I think we’re both the problem and the problem is that he thinks he’s not the problem. He thinks I’m both the problems.

‘Whereas I’m just a problem. I’m half the problem, whereas I can’t be having him thinking I’m the full problem. He needs to take on some of the problem. The minute he does that we’ll move on.’

He adds: ‘He needs to own his problem… No [I haven’t spoken to him]. I don’t think it’s going to happen.’

Asked by fellow guest Jon Richardson if they’d do Gogglebox together as a first step, Liam says: ‘Maybe the Bake Off… maybe we’ll just bake some bread and that or a cake or throw strawberries at each other.

‘Have a cream fight. That kind of stuff. Now you’re talking.’
