Good Morning Britain took an alarming turn on Wednesday as Piers Morgan challenged Andi Peters to a cage fight.
The furore started when the host, 55, remarked on his co-star, 50, wearing a muscle-flashing blue crop top to present the competition segment.
Reacting to Piers, Andi suggested they hit the gym together, but Piers stepped things up a gear as he challenged Andi to a cage fight, before adding that he would ‘annihilate’ his co-star.

Presenting the latest competition live from Tower Bridge, Andi showcased his bulging biceps in a powder blue sleeveless top, before going on to do some tricep dips on the railings.
Scoffing at the presenter’s ripped physique, Piers uttered a comment about Andi ‘showing off those muscles’, with Andi laughing at the remark.
He then light-heartedly suggested the broadcaster join him in the gym as he said: ‘Piers, one day you and I in a gym. You know it would make sense once you’re fully recovered and everything.’

However, Piers wasn’t satisfied and counteracted Andi’s offer with a suggestion of his own.
‘No no no, one day in a cage,’ he declared. ‘Unlimited, unlicensed, no gloves, no headwear.’
Shocked at his idea, his co-anchor Susanna Reid, 49, quipped: ‘I know who my money’s on!’ while Andi was seen looking surprised.

Looking rather unnerved, Andi responded: ‘Well that escalated, didn’t it! Wow, OK!’
Unperturbed, Piers continued: ‘I didn’t grow up with fighting two brothers, one of whom’s now an army colonel, who still can’t beat me in arm wrestling’
Susanna then interjected, telling her co-star: ‘Sorry, can you just have a look at his guns?’
Andi then hilariously began flexing his biceps while presenting to yawn, with Piers pointing out: ‘It’s not about muscle power, it’s about desire to win.’

Despite them continuing with the show, the hysterical exchange carried on later, with Andi seen doing pull-ups as he prepared for his ‘fight’ with Piers.

Piers responded with fighting talk of his own, adding: ‘I would annihilate him.
‘He has nothing else to do all day except count his money, his job is done by about 7.40… He can’t even throw a punch it’s pathetic, that’s like something my daughter would do.’
