The Good As Hell hitmaker, 32, was emotional as she told her 11.3 million followers that fame only highlights the problems already in your life.

The star is said to be worth around $10 million following the huge success of her 2019 album Cuz I Love You.

‘You can be the coolest, most richest person ever and it doesn’t buy you f**king happiness,’ she told her followers.

With her voice breaking, she continued: ‘Money doesn’t buy you happiness. Fame only puts a magnifying glass on the s**t that you already have.’

‘And if that s**t is f**ked up, you’re just going to have even more magnified f**ked up s**t in situations where it doesn’t even seem valid or like you’re even like supposed to feel that way and so it f**ks you up even more because you feel super f**king ungrateful,’ she went on to say.

With tears filling her eyes, Lizzo admitted she was working on her inner struggles, explaining: ‘I’m just telling everyone now, anyone who has internal issues or has like any type of self problems that they need to work out, work out now because money, fame, or success or even getting older doesn’t really fix that s**t.’

‘You need to just do it. Do the inner work, because no matter where you are if you don’t, it’s going to haunt you like a f**king ghost.’

‘I’m working on it too and today is just not a good day. It’s okay to not have a good day even when it seems like you should,’ she ended.

Last week the star shared a throwback video of herself looking incredible in a pink and blue bikini as she tucked into tortilla chips after drizzling them with lime.

She also shared a video of herself twerking on a sun lounger in front of a beautiful sunset on both her stories and her grid. She wrote: ‘Mentally I’m here.’

Last year Lizzo explained to British Vogue how she her mental health was affected by seeing negative and stereotypical images of plus-size bodies as a child.

‘I would watch things on television and look at magazines and I would not see myself,’ she said. ‘When you don’t see yourself, you think something is wrong with you.’

‘You want to look like those things and when you realise it’s a physical impossibility you start to think, ‘What the f**k is wrong with me?”

‘I think that took a bigger toll on me, psychologically, growing up than what anyone could have said to me.’
