This could be your dream job – Silentnight is offering five lucky recruits the chance to get paid £300 while they sleep.

The British bed company is searching for a ‘pyjama army’ to test and review a selection of mattresses, pillows, duvets and blankets from the comfort of their own homes.

Each successful applicant will be sent a bespoke ‘snuggle bundle’ – worth up to £600 – with items matched to their height, weight, and other factors such as which position they sleep in, and whether they tend to be too hot or chilly in bed.

From there, the job description is straight forward.

All candidates have do is pick out their cosiest nightwear and jump into bed for some well-earned rest, with Silentnight even offering a Netflix subscription as an added perk.

Of course, it does involve working nights, early mornings and some undercover work.

But as this is one role where you really can sleep on the job there should be no shortage of applicants.

Hopeful candidates will have to write a short personal statement detailing why they are perfect for the role – with Silentnight keen to hear anecdotes about all the times applicants were late for work after sleeping through their alarm clock, and their top tips for a good night’s sleep.

Kat Collins, senior brand manager for Silentnight said: ‘With the long dark winter nights ahead we’re looking for a new “pyjama army” to provide vital feedback on our products.

‘Sleepers come in all shapes and sizes, with different wants, needs and personal preferences, so our “snuggle bundles” will be bespoke to each recruit.

‘As part of our mission to change how people sleep for the better, we’re looking for applicants who take sleep seriously.

‘If you can’t resist a siesta in the afternoon, if you’re the type of person who spends all day counting down the hours until bedtime, or if you find yourself hitting snooze on your alarm clock every morning, this is your moment.

‘You could be paid £300 to do what you do best – all you have to do is apply.’

Professional snoozers can apply on the company’s website.
