Actor Liam Neeson was seen for the first time on the set of his new action flick, Blacklight, in Melbourne’s outer suburbs.
The 68-year-old actor wore a protective face mask to spread to limit the spread of COVID-19 as he stepped out of his trailer to meet an awaiting film crew.
After spending two weeks in hotel quarantine in Sydney, the Hollywood star looked ready to get the show on the road.

He was spotted in the back seat of a vehicle before he stepped out to have a chat with his company.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that he completed his two-week mandatory self-isolation over the weekend before flying to Melbourne.

Liam’s new action flick is set to bolster Australia’s film industry and bring hundreds of jobs to local Victorians in the aftermath of Melbourne’s draconian second COVID-19 lockdown.
The $43 million movie will see Liam take on the role of a ‘troubled off-the-books fixer for the FBI tasked with pulling undercover agents out of dangerous situations’, according to production.
Blacklight is written, directed and produced by Mark Williams, who is the co-creator of the Emmy-award winning Netflix series, Ozark.
Mark, who also directed Liam in his recent movie Honest Thief, revealed he chose to film Blacklight in Australia over America and the UK due to the country’s successful handling of the coronavirus crisis.

Soon after choosing to film in Melbourne, the state endured a strict second lockdown.
However, Williams explained that he didn’t lose faith, saying: ‘I arrived in Australia a couple of months ago, and when I got out of quarantine and went walking around Sydney I was shocked at how many people were out and about without masks.
‘I’ve been in Melbourne for the past month, and all the masks here make me feel much more comfortable, not just for our production but for everyone else in the city too.’
