He continued: ‘I wish we could all be together, but that’s so many families’ wish and dream at the moment.’

‘I’m grateful everyone’s healthy and happy. We’ve all been very fortunate, but looking forward to a time when life gets back to hopefully some kind of version of normal and we can spend more time together,’ he added.

While the Grammy nominee admits he’s had difficulty finding any ‘silver lining’ amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, he has focused on staying ‘real creative.’

In addition to ‘working on a number of things, whether it’s music stuff or film, television development and writing,’ Nick said getting spend more time with his wife Priyanka Chopra has been ‘the biggest upside.’

‘That has been an upside, just for a little while, kind of planting our roots,’ he said. ‘I think both of us also spend a lot of our time bouncing our ideas off each other.’

He teased: ‘Having that support kind of built-in at home is such an amazing thing. We’re actually working on a number of things together as well, so it’s kind of a family business at this point.’

The star also talked about his holiday rom-com series on Netflix, which marks his first time serving as an executive producer.

He revealed he was most drawn to the project because of his love for New York City, where he grew up doing Broadway shows and lived for a number of years.

‘I have a romantic kind of view of it,’ he said of the Big Apple. ‘Obviously, in this time when New York looks very different today than it did last year when we shot this show, there’s a really nostalgic, wonderful, kind of romanticizing of the city that you see in the show.’
