Firass Dirani and Merrick Watts have a war of words on SAS Australia

A fed up Merrick Watts finally confronted an insolent Firass Dirani during Tuesday’s episode of SAS Australia.

The 37-year-old actor got in trouble once again, putting all of his fellow recruits at risk of yet another torturous punishment, and Merrick decided to pull him up on it.

‘You f**ked yourself out there today, you know that,’ the 46-year-old comedian told Firass after he spoke back to the DS (directing staff) during a team challenge.

A nonchalant Firass said it was ‘fine’, because he’d already been punished for his bad behaviour, which only got Merrick further fired-up.

‘You nearly got all of us in the lake, and that would’ve f**ked people up. Think about it,’ added a furious Merrick.

Later, Merrick told Firass he needed to ‘join the team’, before once again lecturing him on his bad attitude.

‘You need to be part of the team, Firass. Don’t f**k with us,’ he told him.

But Firass denied any wrongdoing, which prompted fellow recruit Shannan Ponton to point out that he’d already had three misdemeanours.

‘We’re all done with that s**t, mate… We’re done with you gobbing off to the f**king DS, mate,’ fumed Merrick.

He added: ‘Don’t say anything. Don’t say s**t to us. Get through the f**king course.’

A nonplussed Firass asked Merrick what he was screaming about, prompting the funnyman to tell him: ‘We’re f**king sick of this s**t.’

‘Listen to me, calm down,’ Firass told him, with Merrick responding, ‘I don’t have to listen to you! You have to listen to us.’

Taking offence, Firass told Merrick he had no intention of listening to him if he continued to ‘shout’ and asked: ‘Who do you think you are to talk to me like that?’

But the other recruits agreed with Merrick, and insisted Firass, who labelled his behaviour ‘a sophisticated, complex situation’, pull his head in.

‘You’re on your own there, Firass. You talk like that, you’re on your own,’ continued Merrick.

‘The way you speak to them [the DS] is not how you talk to people.’

Erin McNaught then told Firass not to ‘converse’ with the DS, prompting the Underbelly star to snap: ‘I get it. Yeah, not my first BBQ.’

He later added: ‘Authority, I have a problem with it. Especially if they’re shouting at me, commanding things of me. I don’t know if that really sits well with me.’
