‘If you love sweet stuff, you need to try these!’ Ms Head wrote in the caption.

To make the cake-style base, she whisks 230 grams of butter with 225 grams of cream cheese, before adding 300 grams of granulated sugar and mixing again.

Next she adds one egg, whisking until combined, followed by 300 grams of flour and a teaspoon of baking powder, folding gently to ensure the mixture rises as it cooks.

Ms Head spoons the batter into a greased dish and bakes in the oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes until golden brown – and meanwhile turns her attention to the indulgent icing that goes on top.

She makes this by mixing 170 grams of butter with 360 grams of icing sugar and one teaspoon of vanilla, beating until smooth.

It’s the latest of Ms Head’s simple recipes to become a viral sensation, following wildly popular videos on Nutella brownies with a marbled chocolate top and red velvet brownies.

Simple desserts have never been more popular since an unprecedented baking craze swept the world during the first months of the coronavirus crisis when hundreds of millions were confined to their homes.

Isolation paid dividends for influencers like Eloise Head, who has amassed a combined following of 743,000 across her two Instagram accounts by sharing delicious dishes that are quick and easy to make.

In March, Ms Head told Daily Mail Australia she was ‘very proud to help people keep occupied’ in the new era of social distancing.
