Capital Breakfast’s Sonny Jay was surprised by Angela Egan on Thursday, as it was revealed she was his Dancing On Ice partner.
The radio DJ, 27, was seen at Global Radio studios on Thursday with the professional ice skater, 34, who came in especially to give him the good news during the show.
While chatting together live on air, Sonny admitted: ‘I’ve been trying guess and get anything from anyone for the last week, but it’s nice to finally know.’

Sonny’s co-host Roman Kemp added: ‘It’s nice to finally know, Angela you’re new to the team, to the Dancing on Ice team.’
On how she felt about stepping onto the ice, Angela told Roman she was ‘super excited, this is something brand new for me, I’ve been doing skating shows for a while, but nothing like television like this.’
Fellow presenter Sian Welby went on: ‘So what can Sonny expect from training, are you going to be tough?’

Angela admitted she would ‘put down [the] gauntlet’ for Sonny, as Roman claimed he wanted him to be ‘terrified, everyday’, with Angela joking: ‘He’ll be doing triple axels by next week, or else!’
Clearly shocked by her suggestion, Sonny chimed in: ‘Triple axels! Alright.’
Angela put on a stylish display as she stepped out of the radio studios with Sonny after their interview together.

Sonny, meanwhile, wore a beige jacket over a simple white top and black skinny jeans, while he stepped out in black lace-up shoes.
Last month, Sonny revealed he was joining Myleene Klass, Joe-Warren Plant, Denise Van Outen, Faye Brookes and Jason Donovan on the show when it launches in January.

Sonny teased his co-hosts during the show with clues including scarves, face glitter and playing the This Morning theme tune – hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield also present Dancing On Ice – before finally making the announcement.
He said: ‘I’m going to be doing Dancing on Ice! I’m so excited, I don’t know how I kept it a secret.’
Co-host Roman, who had no idea his colleague had signed up for the show, added: ‘We were talking about it.. we’ve been talking about Denise Van Outen and Jason Donovan. Move them aside, Sonny’s gonna win this!’
With Roman also pointing out that he might take a tumble or two on the ice, Sonny admitted he was keen to avoid making a fool of himself in front of the viewing public.
He said: ‘I don’t want to fall over, not in front of the nation. I don’t want to be a meme the next day!’
The presenter revealed he’s apprehensive about rehearsals because he’ll be performing in front of solid, experienced dancers – as well as celebrated skaters Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean – when the show returns.
