Andy Cohen keeps dry in NYC with the help of an umbrella handler… after news he is going back in the studio to shoot WWHL after six months at home

  • The Missouri native will once again shoot his late night show in the studio
  • The talk show will return to the studio for its first show back on October 11
  • Filming takes place at the offices of production company Embassy Row in NYC

Andy Cohen was seen making his way through the rain in New York City on Thursday morning.

The 52-year-old Bravo personality luckily had the help of a male umbrella handler who made sure Cohen stayed dry.

This comes after it was shared that the star from Missouri is once again shooting his late night show Watch What Happens Live in the studio after taping from home for six months due to lockdown from COVID-19.

Andy had on a dark blue button-down shirt and dark gray slacks with brown leather shoes that matched his belt as he made his way down a sidewalk while flashing a peace sign.

The Real Housewives expert also had on a black face mask that stood out against his silver fox gray hair as he carried a cell phone and a brown paper bag.

His handler, who wore a suit, looked to be a pro at his job as he balanced a large blue umbrella.

The talk show will return to the studio for its first show back on Sunday October 11 at 10pm.

‘We feel so fortunate to have kept the show going remotely, but there’s no place like our clubhouse,’ said Cohen this week. ‘I cannot wait to come home to my tchotchkes and elbow my crew.’

Filming takes place at the offices of production company Embassy Row in New York City.

Though Andy will be in the studio, his guests won’t. The stars will continue to be interviewed by video chat from a remote location, according to Deadline.

The guest lineup for October includes Mariah Carey, Matthew McConaughey, Wynonna Judd, Hoda Kotb, Lenny Kravitz and Marlon Wayans.

Andy’s popular show has been renewed to run through 2021.

In mid March Andy, who is a single father to son Ben, was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Before testing positive for the virus in March, the Real Housewives producer was already working from home, where he was recording Radio Andy broadcasts.

‘After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,’ he announced on Instagram March 20.

Although he was hoping to do at-home recordings of his talk show Watch What Happens Live from lockdown, he suspended that idea to ‘focus on getting better.’

While he was sick he shared on Radio Andy that the ‘very worst part’ of his illness was having to be kept apart from his son Ben.

Once he had recovered from COVID-19 he posted a heartwarming Instagram snap of himself finally getting to meet Ben again. ‘I’ve hosted reunions for years, but yesterday’s was the best one yet,’ he wrote in a nod to his Real Housewives reunion specials.
