The Bachelor EXCLUSIVE: Diva demands behind the scenes forced the producers to ‘tighten the reins’ – leaving some contestants furious

There has been plenty of gossiping, fights, scandals and tears on this year’s season of The Bachelor.

But it appears there was just as much drama behind the scenes between the contestants and producers.

An on-set source told Daily Mail Australia that some of the stars’ diva demands earlier in the season forced Channel 10 and Warner Bros. to ‘tighten the reins’.

According to the insider, some of the women were being too picky and self-critical with their publicity photos, which are provided each week by Channel 10.

Several contestants didn’t like the angle or pose of their supplied photos, and requested ‘more flattering’ alternatives or for Photoshop tweaks to be made.

‘They used to get them sent the day before [the episode], but now it’s the day of the episode, because too many girls were complaining,’ the source said.

It comes after the So Dramatic! podcast reported that Bella Varelis wasn’t given her cocktail party photo last week as a ‘punishment’ for leaking spoilers.

The producers apparently weren’t happy that she’d been pictured spending time with intruder Bec Cvilikas, as some fans concluded their friendship proved neither of them ended up with Locky.

A Channel 10 spokesperson denied this, however, telling Daily Mail Australia on Monday: ‘This claim is completely false. Bella was given all her cocktail party photos.’

The program’s head stylist, Kim Hurwitz, shared all the cocktail party looks from Thursday’s episode to Instagram, but notably left out Bella.

When asked by a fan why Bella was missing from the line-up, she responded: ‘I will repost her pic when she does. I don’t have one.’

There are currently eight ladies left vying for Locky Gilbert’s heart on The Bachelor.

Bella is widely believed to be the runner-up and Irena Srbinovska is tipped to win, according to betting agencies TAB and Sportsbet.
