MasterChef Australia judge Jock Zonfrillo pranks Andy Allen

MasterChef’s Andy Allen is currently in hotel quarantine after recently returning to New South Wales from Victoria.

And on Tuesday, the 32-year-old was greeted with a bizarre sight in his room thanks to fellow judge Jock Zonfrillo.

In a video on his Instagram, Andy told his followers: ‘There was a knock on the door with a note, the note reads, “Happy 40th Birthday Andy, sorry you’re in iso. Love the Zonfrillos.”‘

The chef-turned-judge then went on to say that along with the beautiful note came a bunch of helium balloons.

‘Are you kidding me! What am I going to do with all these?’ Andy is heard saying in the footage. 

Andy thanked Jock and his wife Lauren and pointed out that it was not his birthday and that he is only 32-years-old.

He also shared a selfie of himself looking unimpressed with the colourful balloon display.

Another pal was in on Jock’s prank and even sent a bottle of wine to Andy’s hotel room, which the season four MasterChef winner enjoyed in isolation.

The prank comes after Andy revealed to his fans that he is a few days into his hotel quarantine after returning back to Sydney from Melbourne.

On Monday, Andy shared a photo of himself with a banana in his mouth.

‘It’s mandatory to spend two weeks in a police guarded hotel. So that’s what I’m doing,’ he said.

‘Thank you for all the best wishes from everyone though. As you can see, I’m only going slightly crazy,’ he joked.
