Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum stars Ruth and Thomas Wyndham tie the knot

Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum stars Ruth and Thomas Wyndham have tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Queensland. 

The couple, who are both on the autism spectrum, celebrated the special event with their family in Ruth’s backyard in Chermside West, in Brisbane’s north, last month.

Thomas is a bus driver and proposed to Ruth on his local bus route after four years of dating.

The couple had planned to wed in April at a railway station but they had to postpone their plans due to the coronavirus restrictions.

A series of photos shared to Instagram by Ruth and Thomas’ family members show the loved-up couple celebrating their intimate day. 

In one photo, the couple are pictured posing with their family and friends after their ceremony. 

In another image, Ruth is smiling while holding a bouquet of flowers prior to walking down the aisle.

Thomas told The Sunday Mail on Saturday that their wedding day was special and it was ‘something we’ve wanted for ages’. 

‘She [Ruth] is everything, she is absolutely lovely,’ he told the publication.

He added: ‘The wedding was something we had wanted for ages so to have it finally happen was great.’

Ruth and Thomas stole viewer’s hearts on Netflix’s four-part documentary Love on the Spectrum.

The series follows seven young adults on the autism spectrum as they explore dating and relationships.
