Fans praise comedian Urzila Carlson for making The Masked Singer ‘more enjoyable’

Last month, Lindsay Lohan was forced to step down from The Masked Singer judging panel due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

And it appears viewers were impressed with Channel Ten’s decision to replace the American actress with South African-born comedian Urzila Carlson.

‘Urzila makes a much better fourth panelist than Lindsay,’ one viewer wrote.

‘Gosh it’s infinitely more watchable with Urzila!’ a second commented.

‘Let’s be honest. Urzila Carlson is an upgrade, and I say this as someone who loved Lindsay Lohan’s off the wall guesses’, a third chimed in. 

‘Only watching #TheMaskedSinger because of Urzila. We love her she is amazing,’ added another. 

But despite Urzila’s new role on the wacky reality show, the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen star has not been forgotten. 

‘I miss queen Lindsay,’ one fan wrote, before a second viewer put their foot down: ‘I came here for Lindsay!’

‘It’s not the same without Lindsay thinking that A List celebs are on this show,’ commented a third. 

On Monday night’s episode of The Masked Singer Australia, the Echidna was the first to be revealed.  

Behind the mask was a sportsman with a surprisingly smooth voice – none other than tennis champion Mark Philippoussis. 

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson got it right, guessing: ‘I agree that it’s a tennis player, and he’s got a brilliant serve, he’s done modelling. I am locking in Mark Philippoussis.’
