VERY handsome European princes you probably haven’t heard of

While the UK has some good-looking royals of its own, these genetically-blessed  European princes wouldn’t look out of place in a fairytale.

From a motor racing driver to a young soap opera actor, Tatler has revealed the very handsome royals from around the worlds who are lesser-known but by no means unworthy of our attention.

Afonso, Prince of Beira, 24, is already hotly desired by his Portuguese fans thanks to his dashing good looks and his role as Honorary Commander in the Voluntary Fire Brigade of Lisbon.

Equally sought-after by wannabe princesses is Prince Josef-Emanuel of Liechtenstein – the youngest son of Princess Margaretha of Luxembourg and Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein – who often appears on eligible bachelor lists.

Here, FEMAIL reveals the mostly unheard of princes who are getting their fans hot under the collar…

Archduke Ferdinand von Habsburg, 23, born in Salzburg, Austria, is a descendant of one of the former leading and most influential rulers in Europe.

His father Karl von Habsburg is the head of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine and grandson of the last Emperor of Austria, Charles I of Austria.

Charles I of Austria reigned for two years until the monarchy was abolished at the end of the First World War.

The 23-year-old is currently carving out a place for himself in the world of motor racing driver, having placed fourth in the 2017 Macau Grand Prix.

Writing on his website, the sportsman said: ‘I grew up with a strong sense of family, faith and country. A lover of sport from a young age, I always enjoyed competition and pushing myself.’

Speaking about his performances so far, he added: ‘2019 was the most challenging and exciting year yet as I made my debut in the world-famous DTM championship in the Aston Martin Vantage DTM car with R-Motorsport.’

This year, the racer helped with the COVID-19 frontline effort during his compulsory military service – explaining: ‘I’m an Austrian soldier at the moment and we’ve all been called to help during this pandemic time.’

‘Our job at the moment in the sport department is to help restock the shelves and make sure everything is ready to go for when people actually need food and everything that people that need [if they’re] sick,’ he said in a video released by his WRT Audi team.

He added: ‘If you are young and healthy and you would like to use the time on your hands right, seek out opportunities to help your community in these times of need.’

With nearly 18,000 followers on Instagram, Ferdinand delights in showcasing his luxury travels – which last year included United Arab Emirates and Czech Republic.

With blonde locks and sun-kissed skin, Prince Achileas-Andreas of Greece appears to be the definition of a Greek God.

Attending New York University after his family moved to America when he was a teenager, he is the son of Marie-Chantal and father Pavlos, the Crown Prince and Princess of Greece.

The 19-year-old has largely grown up away from the spotlight but it now a fledgling actor – appearing in US soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful alongside his aunt Princess Theodora.

His next acting job is set to be in fantasy film Light Warriors, which is currently in the pre-production stage, according to IMDb.

He offers his 404,000 Instagram followers a glimpse into his jet-setting, lavish life, posting snaps from his trips around the world with his group of friends – which includes Princess Beatrice.

And he’s certainly amassed a legion of adoring female fans, with many commenting on his pictures and having a particular appreciation for his chiselled jaw.

He is the third of Princess Marie-Chantal and Prince Pavlos’ five children and was born in New York where his parents were then based, but they relocated to London in 2004 for their children’s education.

Achileas is technically royal in name only because Greece voted in favour of a republic in 1974 while his grandfather Constantin was on the throne.

Prince Donatus, 26, is a descendant of the Schaumburg-Lippe royals, who ruled the German state until the abolition of the country’s monarchies after the First World War.

He shares his good lucks with his glamorous mother Princess Marie-Louise of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, known as Lilly Wittegenstein.

Donatus was born in Hanover before moving with his mother to Munich in 2002.

He attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Berkshire, and upon graduating became a troop leader in Her Majesty’s Household Cavalry Life Guards.

Donatus left the regiment in the rank of Second Lieutenant in 2016, according to the charity Interhelp German Society for International Aid.

Elsewhere, the prince and his mother recently undertook an ultramarathon together, walking nealy 100 miles through mountainous terrain, to raise funds for a relief project in the Philippines.

‘I have always set myself ambitious goals – and I intend to succeed in them,’ Donatus told the non-profit organisation ahead of the activity in 2016.

‘I want to do this for a good cause, which is why I am running for Interhelp. My Father has been the Patron of this organisation for many years, and through him I know that every cent reaches those in need, with absolutely no exception.

‘To run such a distance is quite a feat. It requires iron discipline and I am sure it was initially more difficult for my mother than for me.

‘I say initially because we both have reached a point at which we are finding new boundaries, and therefore learn more about ourselves.’

He regularly appears on his mother’s Instagram page, where she boasts about her ‘handsome’ son, however his own social media account is private.

He was joined after the ceremony by his parents and his two sisters Princess Maria-Anunciata and Princess Marie-Astrid.

The regiment has a strong connection to the 31-year-old, since his grandfather, Grand Duke Jean served with the group as a Lieutenant in the Second World War.

Grand Duke Jean had volunteered with the British Army after his royal family fled Nazi occupation of Luxembourg.

He’s largely grown up away from the limelight, but has developed a loyal fan base on Instagram where he boasts 151,000 followers, who shower the young prince with compliments.

Like his brother Prince Achileas-Andreas of Greece, Tino is technically royal in name only as Greece voted in favour of a republic in 1974 while his grandfather Constantin was on the throne.

His family is closely connected with the British royals as Prince William is his godfather, and Prince Charles hosted a gala at Highgrove to celebrate King Constantine’s 60th birthday in 2000.

Tino was born in New York where his parents were then based, but they relocated to London in 2004 for their children’s education.

He attended Wellington College in Berkshire where fees start at £9,040 per term for day pupils and famous alumni include George Orwell and Sebastian Faulks.

In August 2017, the prince relocated to the US to attend Georgetown University, Washington DC.
