Bachelor in Paradise ‘introduced MAFS-inspired Bula Banquets this season because they were worried about the show being too BORING’

Bachelor in Paradise surprised views fans with the addition of MAFS-style dinner parties this season.

Now, a Channel 10 insider has revealed the very unexpected reason why producers introduced the weekly Bula Banquets.

Speaking to New Idea magazine, the source claimed that this season’s cast were so ‘boring’ at the beginning of the season that producers had to shake up the format to inject more drama.

‘Producers were worried’: A Channel 10 insider has revealed producers introduced the weekly Bula Banquet to shake up drama as this year’s cast were too ‘boring’ at the beginning of filming the series

‘Producers were worried there wouldn’t be enough footage to make anything worth watching,’ they claimed.

The lack of drama was mainly due to the fact that many contestants already new each other before entering Bachelor In Paradise.

‘So any initial drama or secret crushes had already happened,’ said the insider.

Indeed, the Bula Banquets have certainly stirred up conflict among the cast this season.

Sunday night’s dinner party saw tensions escalate between Matt Whyatt and pot-stirrer Timm Hanly, who had previously called him a ‘dog’ for dating Ciarran Stott’s ex-girlfriend Renee Barrett.
