The gloves are off! Ben Fordham’s feud with Kyle Sandilands escalates as Ben claims ‘Kyle’ is the male ‘Karen’
Ever since Ben Fordham took over the reigns of Alan Jones’s top-rating 2GB breakfast program in June, he has had an ongoing ‘rivalry’ with KIIS FM competitor and pal Kyle Sandilands.
But on Wednesday, Ben escalated their feud after calling ‘Kyle’ the male equivalent of a ‘Karen’ during his program.
‘I think the male equivalent of a ‘Karen’, is it a ‘Kyle?’,’ Ben said on his program.

‘Someone who is constantly complaining someone who looks down on life a giant sook, I think the male equivalent of a Karen would be a Kyle.’
Speaking on his own radio program The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Kyle said he was furious, claiming that Ben’s segment was a dig at him.
‘He has thrown down the gauntlet so now I have a new enemy,’ he said.
‘Thank the lord, I have been waiting for a new enemy after I have crushed all these other people that dared go against me.’

Kyle then decided to call Ben and confront him, but the radio host stood by his statement, claiming Kyle’s fellow host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had already called him a male ‘Karen’.
‘Jackie said it, she is the key host on the show and I run with it,’ he joked.
‘I think there is something to it, I think your the male version of Karen.’

While the comments from both radio presenters were all in jest, it comes after Kyle insisted they had instantly become ‘mortal enemies’ before Ben took over Alan’s radio gig last month on the competing station.
Kyle had said at the time: ‘If you want to be yelled at by someone who knows nothing, Ben Fordham’s your man.
‘Friend of mine, but now a mortal enemy to the death. I don’t mind Ben as a person, but he’s a little bit of a phony. I’m just being honest here.’

During a previous interview with Daily Mail Australia, Ben gently hit back at the shock jock after Kyle branded him a ‘phony’ who is ‘always yelling’.
‘I think my friend over there just wants to help lift my profile – and for that, I’ll be eternally grateful,’ he joked.
‘You’ve got to expect in a job like this there’s always going to be people expressing their opinions and their views and whatever.
‘And some you take seriously and some you take with a grain of salt. I’ll let you decide which category this falls into.’
