Andy Cohen posts sweet snaps of he and his adorable son Benjamin visiting Elmo on the set of Sesame Street’s The Not Too Late Show

He and his adorable tot have joined the ranks of Hoda Kotb, Jonathan Van Ness and others as guests on this very high-profile ‘talk show’.

Andy Cohen shared a cute throwback gallery of photos on Thursday from when he and his son Benjamin Allen, one, visited Elmo on the set of The Not Too Late Show, Sesame Street’s playful take on the late night chat show format.

In the snaps, the 52-year-old Bravo star and producer appears with a gleeful smile on his face, holding his adorable baby boy who he welcomed via surrogate in 2019 on his lap.

Judging from Andy’s much more groomed appearance in the duo of photos, it’s clear that they were taken before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

Cohen wears jeans and a striped blue sweater in the snaps, while his son is in a white onesie decorated with a farm animal pattern.

The beloved red muppet Elmo is in a spiffy suit in the tradition of late night hosts before him, and at one point he lets baby Benjamin honk his yellow nose.

‘Seems like forever ago that Ben and I hung out with new furry friends at @sesamestreet!’ Andy captioned the post.

‘I’m on the #NotTooLateShow with @elmo, streaming now…’

And as seen on Elmo’s own Instagram account, he has previously welcomed Hotb, Van Ness as well as Politician star Ben Platt as guests on the Not Too Late Show.

Andy’s post comes as the Watch What Happens Live host recently revealed to News.com.au who the best, as well as the worst, guests have been in his eleven years as host of the show.

Andy recalled his tense conversation with actress Debra Winger back in 2018, who he said started to ‘turn against’ him on air.

He asked the Terms of Endearment actress rapid fire questions in a segment called Plead The Fifth, including questions about her rumored feud with co-star Shirley MacLaine, as well as to rank her best kisses among her leading men.

Andy said: ‘Here you have a guest who was starting to turn against me as the show continued. It makes for compelling television, for sure.’

He explained that show’s fast paced nature and the unpredictability of live TV is what makes the show work.

The TV host added: ‘When I got off the air (after Debra Winger), I had planned on going home, but I thought, “Oh man, I need to stay and have a drink or five with my team”.’

Andy revealed his best guest was musical theatre legend Patti LuPone, who called Madonna a ‘movie killer’ on his show in 2017.

He said of the Broadway star: ‘She’s a great one, always a classic. She’s at a point in her life where she just doesn’t care, and that’s a wonderful place to be.’
