Bachelor In Paradise to feature MAFS-style dinner parties for ‘big drama’

‘They’re out of control!’ Bachelor In Paradise will feature Married At First Sight-style dinner parties each week to cause ‘big drama’ among the cast

The new season of Bachelor In Paradise is set to be the most dramatic yet thanks to the introduction of weekly dinner parties.

The format change – which was no doubt influenced by Married At First Sight’s chaotic dinner parties – will feature ‘big drama’, according to contestant Timm Hanly.

Speaking to The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday, the 28-year-old larrikin said: ‘These dinner parties are out of control!’

He added: ‘They’re not just a dinner party… big dramas in the dinner parties.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for comment.

Married At First Sight is known for its weekly dinner parties, which is where explosive secrets are usually revealed.

However, MAFS isn’t the only reality show to use the dinner party format, as Channel Seven’s The Super Switch also featured its own version of the weekly get-togethers.

Bride and Prejudice also featured dinner parties during its third season last year.

It’s unclear if Bachelor in Paradise will still include its usual cocktail parties, which have been a staple of the franchise since the beginning.

A trailer for Bachelor in Paradise offers a glimpse of one of the dinner parties, in which Ciarran Stott is exposed as a love rat then threatens to quit the show.

The controversy appears to have something to do with Ciarran’s ex-girlfriend Renee Barrett, who starred on The Bachelor last year.

Bachelor in Paradise will premiere Wednesday at 7:30pm Channel 10.

In addition to Timm and Ciarran, the season will also feature fan favourites like Keira Maguire, Jamie Doran, and Mary Viturino.
