Justin Theroux proves his dog Kuma is the ultimate canine in video showing her learning to swim

It’s no big secret that Justin Theroux is a mega fan of his dog Kuma.

The Leftovers star, 48, uploaded an endearing video to his Instagram Stories on Sunday afternoon, documenting the beautiful pitbull’s journey from being afraid of water to learning how to swim.

The extended snippet, told in a storybook fashion, re-introduces Theroux’s 826k followers to the grey pooch, who was apparently afraid of water – even from the shower.

‘This is Kuma,’ the simple caption reads over a shot of the dog cowering in a giant marble shower. ‘Kuma is scared of water.’

The sweet clip goes on to present Kuma’s friends, two adorable little girls who are presumably neighbors, and love to swim in Justin’s pool.

‘Kuma loves them, a lot,’ Justin informs his viewers. ‘Except… when they swim.’   

After some coaxing, however, ‘something amazing happened,’ and ‘Kuma started to get the hang of it’. 

Theroux even captures the moment when Kuma takes a leap and starts swimming in earnest, setting the gleeful montage to the Beach Boys’ Good Vibrations. 

The rest of the video goes from triumph to triumph, as Kuma is seen swimming briefly with her dogdad Justin.

Another shot shows the dog living the good life SoCal style, with her paws in plush white slippers as she dries off poolside. 

Kuma also is seen having an excellent time being the life of the party among the playful youngsters. 

Justin, who is often photographed out and about in New York City walking his beloved canine companion, is also seen reclining with his head resting on the dog in the video on his IG Stories.
