Just a day after announcing her engagement, Sunrise host Samantha Armytage is lapping up time with her new fiancé Richard Lavender.

In a post on Instagram Stories on Monday, the 43-year-old TV presenter shared a short video of herself and Richard going for a romantic stroll in the country with their dogs.

Wearing a pair of muddy black gumboots and black trousers, Samantha filmed herself and her 60-year-old partner as they trod across the grass with their beloved pets.

‘Monday, done right,’ Sam captioned the video, adding a thumbs up emoji.

On Sunday, Sam revealed she and Richard had become engaged after a little over a year of dating.

‘What a year…’ she wrote on Instagram, sharing a series of cosy photos alongside Richard, showing off her new engagement ring.

The photos appeared to have been taken at a rural property, and both Samantha and Richard own estates in the New South Wales Southern Highlands.   

The couple, who have been reportedly dating since April last year, officially confirmed their romance in November.

They sparked engagement rumours in September, after they were spotted shopping for expensive jewellery in Sydney’s Double Bay.

Richard has two daughters, Grace and Sasha, while Samantha has no children but does own an adorable dog named Banjo.

Speaking to WHO magazine’s Sexiest People issue in November, the Channel Seven host praised the businessman as a ‘decent’ and ‘very honest’ man.

She revealed they had been introduced by a mutual friend ‘around Easter’ and shared an instant connection.
