Tamra Judge, 52, calls Kelly Dodd a ‘huge liability’ for Bravo

Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge is not going out quietly.

Tamra, 52, admitted in February that she was fired from RHOC following 12 seasons, but in a new interview has said she wouldn’t rule out joining another show from the franchise, while also slamming her former castmate Kelly Dodd.

Speaking on podcast Behind The Velvet Rope With David Yontef, Tamra took aim at Kelly, 44, who she labelled a ‘huge liability’ for Bravo, after she made ‘insensitive’ remarks about COVID-19, as well as recently having to apologize for past racist comments.

Housewives at war: Tamra Judge, 52, calls Kelly Dodd, 44, a ‘huge liability’ for Bravo as claims she was fired because of her age (the pair pictured above at the same event in 2019)

Tamra called for Kelly to be fired this week after a video from 2016 resurfaced recently, which saw Kelly filmed by TMZ outside The Nice Guy in Los Angeles saying she didn’t ‘like’ or ‘know any black guys’.

‘It’s bad I can’t imagine Bravo is happy about that – I am sure PR for Bravo made her issue an apology, I’m sure Bravo made her do that,’ Tamra said referencing Kelly’s earlier COVID-19 remarks on the podcast. ‘There is no way she did that on her own – no way.’

‘It is mind-blowing to me she’s the only Housewife in history that I know that’s edited better than she is. They make her look better than she really is. The rest of us, if you do something they are gonna make it and drag It out and make it look worse than it is. But with her its the opposite. I feel she’s a huge liability to the network!’

Yesterday, Kelly clapped back at Tamra on Instagram saying: ‘She’s just thirsty and mad she got the bullet..grasping for straws poor thing… I hope she finds happiness,’

At the time Kelly quickly apologized for her racist comments, saying ‘I am truly embarrassed. There is no excuse for bad behavior or comments that offend anyone,

‘That video does not represent who I really am and I apologize for acting irresponsibly.’ she added.

Tamra then laid into Kelly further in the interview, when asked about her bullying behavior, she said: ‘It’s not fair – when you have someone like Kelly Dodd who puts s*** out there that’s not true it’s so devastating to your character and a lot of people watching take it with a grain of salt and say its just TV but it becomes really heavy for us to deal with.’

Apology: Kelly has said sorry for her 'insensitive' remarks on COVID-19 as well as past racist remarks

‘There are certain things you don’t do you don’t go after, kids or livelihood… there are no limits with Kelly…. There are no limits with that girl. It’s really hard, no one can be authentic on the show – everyone is afraid of Kelly.’

‘Everyone is afraid of what they say and do she’ll go after you your kids your mother your husband your dog there are no boundaries.’

Elsewhere in the podcast interview, Tamra claimed that she believes she was let from the show over her age.

‘The casting people are the first ones – the gatekeepers – they told one of my friends specifically they want to go in a different direction now they want to hiring younger ones and get rid of the older ones,’ she claimed.

Tamra, who admitted she was fired back in February, said at first she didn’t believe it was due to her age, but now says: ‘Yeah, I do think there is some truth to it. Absolutely.’

However, she also expressed interest in joining Real Housewives of New York, saying she would love to give the show a shake-up.

‘I’d wanna join NY If I could join another franchise – because Leah [McSweeney] is on there and I am obsessed with her, this is exactly what NYC needed,’ she said.

‘NYC needs a shake-up, that’s why I stopped watching and that’s why I was so happy when they brought Leah in. I think it needs a little bit of a change in cast, it’s time but maybe that’s what they thought of with me Vicki and Shannon – they saw the three of us but they got rid of the wrong one.’
