Masterchef’s Tessa Boersma steps out after rumours emerge she’ll be the next Bachelorette 

Rumours emerged earlier this week that current MasterChef contestant Tessa Boersma could be the next Bachelorette. 

And the 28-year-old reality star attempted to keep a low profile as she ran errands near her Brisbane home on Friday.  

The young chef wore a grey T-shirt and black exercise leggings as she juggled a box and some groceries. 

She pulled her blonde locks back into a messy bun, and went makeup free for the casual outing. 

Tessa accessorised with dark Ray-Ban sunglasses and a simple black crossbody bag. 

Earlier this week, New Idea reported that an offer for Tessa to be the next Bachelorette was allegedly being ‘lined up’ – but there’s one major problem with the contract. 

Tessa is believed to be in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Eliot Nelson.

While Tessa hasn’t shared photos of the pair together since 2019, Eliot uses a photo of the couple as his Instagram avatar.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 and Tessa for comment. 

The rumour at first seemed plausible as the reality dating series is known for using familiar faces to front the show as The Bachelor or Bachelorette. 

Tessa had placed runner-up in last year’s season of MasterChef, and is one of the favourites to win this year’s competition. 

A woman of many talents, she is also employed by the government as a criminal statistician.

Speaking to 10 Daily last year, Tessa revealed her secret to conquering the high-pressure cooking competition.

‘It’s definitely a mental game. I think for me, I was just lucky that that’s just the way that my brain works.

‘You know, when I’m given a task, I want to always complete it to the best of my ability and I’m quite competitive,’ Tessa said.
