A woman has shared how to cook delicious cheese and bacon pull apart rolls in a slow cooker, instead of the traditional method which involves an oven.

The home baker revealed the insight to the Slow Cooker Recipes Australia Facebook group – which currently has more than 163,000 members.

‘Homemade cheese and bacon pull apart rolls – watch the cheese fall off near the end,’ she said online and posted a video and an image of the tasty result.

‘I cooked for two hours and finished off under the grill.’

The video shared online depicts how tasty the bread rolls look when being pulled apart.

The recipe itself is very simple to follow and consists of self raising flour, cheese, bacon, water and salt – though additional elements may be added if desired, such as olives or onion.

First combine all the ingredients together in a bowl, then place into a lined slow cooker and cook on high for two hours.

How to make cheese and bacon rolls in a slow cooker:

Ingredients: 

3 cups of self raising flour

2 cups of warm water

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Cheese 

Bacon bits 

Add other ingredients if desired: e.g. onion, olives, pineapple 

Method:

Mix together all ingredients and

Line the slow cooker with baking paper and spray with cooking 

Place mixture into slow cooker  

Cook on high for 2 hours

Then pop under the grill to crisp
