Lais Ribeiro buys festive balloons during grocery run with fiance Joakim Noah

Victoria’s Secret model Lais Ribeiro looked cheerful, as she shopped for balloons and a bouquet of flowers for her son Alexandre’s 12th birthday on Saturday.  

The 29-year-old Brazilian bombshell was joined by her NBA player fiancé Joakim Noah, who toted a grocery cart full of party decorations in Malibu. 

‘Today is a special day,’ she captioned a heartfelt Instagram tribute to her preteen. ‘I can’t even explain the love I feel for you, watching you grow as a kind, bright and a present person.’ 

‘I love you unconditionally,’ she gushed, while sharing a photo of him on a scenic hike wearing a blue Superman sweatshirt.   

As she raced to make her only child’s birthday special under quarantine, Lais kept a laid-back look in a pair of glasses, grey sweatpants and a black hoodie. 

While exiting the supermarket, the natural beauty removed her face mask and held onto an iced beverage, as her man kept a red bandana under his chin.  

Last week, she opened up about struggling to homeschool Alexandre, who has  autism.  

‘I do homework with him and let me tell you, it’s really hard. My mom, my grandma and my two other aunties are all teachers and I already knew their struggle, but now I feel like I’m in that position,’ Lais told People magazine. 

She added: ‘My son is special needs and doesn’t learn the way the other kids learn, so it’s a different type of teaching. I’m also learning with him because I’m not American, so I’m interested in all American history and stuff.’

Luckily, Joakim has been a great help with math, which she joked isn’t her strong suit. 

Lais also admitted that she sometimes ‘cheats’ when helping her son with his school lessons. 

‘I help him with science and history, but sometimes I have to cheat and go on Google and see if I understand and can try to teach him somehow, or I send emails to his teachers. They help me a lot. I’m so grateful for them,’ she said. 

She resides in New York City, but decided to quarantine in Los Angeles where Joakim lives.

She flew out in mid-March with her son, mother and sister and said the flight was ‘packed with people leaving New York for L.A.’

Lais said she’s been enjoying spending more time with her son and has learned how to cook from her mother and sister.

‘I clean the house all the time – the house cleaning never ends,’ Lais said.

Lais became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2015.

The Los Angeles Clippers in March signed free-agent center Joakim to a contract.
