LITTLE Women star Christy McGinity has shared the first photos of her daughter Violet who died last month after she was born prematurely.
Christy, 42, and boyfriend Gonzo Carazo’s newborn daughter passed away on March 20 at only two weeks old.
The reality star took to Instagram in honor of Bereaved Mother’s Day and wrote a heartbreaking message.
Christy wrote: “Today is ‘Bereaved Mother’s Day’ A date to honor mothers who have lost a child, for there is no stronger person than a grieving mother that wakes up and keeps going every morning.
“A mother that has lost a child due to various reasons including miscarriage, stillbirth, or death. There may also be women who struggle to become pregnant.
“These grieving women may feel pain, unworthiness, loneliness, and isolation. To cope with that, we celebrate the Bereaved Mother’s Day to let All mothers feel that they’re very important and loved by the world.
She added: “To that I celebrate my strong partner also and the father of our sweet Violet.
“It’s a difficult world out there. To every mother who is mourning, and carrying a child in there heart; we see you and hear you and think of you, today we hold you in our hearts.”
Along the beautiful message, Christy shared never born seen photos of Violet in the NICU.
The photos show both parents cradling the newborn and worryingly looking over her in the hospital.
Christy, who has two children from a previous relationship, previously told The Sun the couple postponed funeral services for their daughter because of the coronavirus pandemic, as they want the memorial to be in New York where Gonzo and his family reside.
Christy told The Sun exclusively: “We are going to have a memorial of some type and spread her ashes.
“I was hoping the ocean. I’m going to bring Violet’s ashes to New York as soon as it’s safe for me to fly.”
Christy explained how she is “really at risk” during the pandemic because of her asthma.
As for Gonzo, he flew back to New York to return to his job as a clinical analyst for a hospital after a seven-week leave.
He previously told The Sun: “Leaving Christy was hard, but I could not afford losing my job as I work in the healthcare industry and hospitals never close.”
Christy added: “It sucks that he had to go back to NY, but he has his job out there.
“It’s so scary right now with this pandemic.
“We have been grieving, and for him to have to get on an airplane to go right into the fire is insane.”
She continued: “I’m proud of him. I’m sure he’s scared. I sure am. He’s my hero, my rock, and my love.”
The couple originally announced the passing of Violet in a statement.
They said in a statement: “It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels.
“We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that we are forever thankful.”
Their difficult time was captured on camera for the Little Women reality series.
Gonzo told The Sun that while cameras were not allowed in the hospital, they did film in the “temporary apartment” they were staying in while their daughter was in the NICU.
