Beyonce delighted fans when she collaborated with fellow Houston native Megan Thee Stallion on a remix of her Stallion hit.
And it seems working together has sparked a friendship between the pair, with Beyonce joining Megan in honoring her late mother on what would have been her birthday.
‘Honoring Holly,’ wrote the superstar singer on Sunday, sharing an image of Megan as a child with her mom .

The image was a repost from Megan’s Instagram account, where she shared it alongside an emotional tribute.
‘Happy birthday mama I miss you everyday!’ the Hot Girl Summer singer wrote. ‘I know you’re watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going.
‘I don’t have you physically here telling me what I should do so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own remembering all the advice and lessons you’ve taught me before.
‘You are such a strong woman and I promise to make you proud and be one too! We love you Holly.’

Megan’s mom Holly Thomas died suddenly in March last year from brain cancer.
The 25-year-old shared the sad news on her Instagram account at the time, writing: ‘The best mom in the whole world. The strongest woman on the planet. I can’t even put complete sentences together rn RIP mama.’
In a later interview with Rolling Stone, Megan said her mom was a massive influence on her musical career.
Holly was herself a rapper, using the name Holly-Wood.
