AS one of the poster boys for EDM throughout the last decade, collaborating with the likes of Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Fedde Le Grand and the late Avicii, Nicky Romero is back with new single ‘Destiny’, a collaboration with Deniz Koyu featuring Alexander Tidebrink.

As we dream of the return of festivals this summer and the mouth-watering prospect of Medusa Festival in Valencia where Nicky is still set to perform alongside Steve Aoki and Paul van Dyk in August, we caught up with the Protocol label boss to ask for a playlist featuring some of his favourite tracks of the moment.

Nicky Romero & Deniz Koyu featuring Alexander Tidebrink – Destiny
This collab is very special to me. Premiered this for the first time at Tomorrowland and premiered the amazing vocals by Alexander Tidebrink at the Avicii tribute concert, goosebump all the way!
Nicky Romero – Stay (Festival Mix)
Just released the festival mix of my single “Stay”! Played it for the first time during ADE 2019 and during my Japan tour a few weeks ago!

Nicky Romero & Timmy Trumpet – Falling
Super happy I worked on this one together with my brother Timmy Trumpet! It was a fun process to blend our styles together, and to find the right vibe. Luckily we did it pretty quickly and “Falling” was born.
Martin Garrix featuring Clinton Kane – Drown (Nicky Romero Remix)
When I heard this song I immediately got the feeling to deliver another remix to my friend Martijn! Got the basic idea of the remix right away and we were happy to release it on STMPD!

This was the second track of the “Redefine” EP, focusing on my club sound, unfortunately no clubs at the moment to play it out loud.
DØBER – Make It Better
DØBER is a new face on my label, but we know Mischa for a very long time now, formerly known as Sam Void. He is one of the best producers in the game and very proud of this new EP on Protocol.
Teamworx & Umut Ozsoy – Just Like That
Again another solid cross-over release from the Teamworx boys. ‘After We Are Lost’ they did it again with ‘Just Like That!’
Thomas Gold – Live A Little Louder
German progressive power-house Thomas Gold delivers another Protocol signature on the label! Great follow-up on ‘Wildest Dreams’.
Alesso & Dubvision – One Last Time
Super happy to see Alesso going back to his roots, especially on the occasion of a collab with progressive kings Dubvision. It makes “One Last Time” a very interesting collaboration and a great record.
