Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have supported a donation of PPE to healthcare workers in the UK.

The couple teamed up with Salesforce boss Marc Benioff who transported 20 tonnes of supplies via plane to staff on the front-line.

It was part of the initiative Mail Force with Benioff, in which the Daily Mail was also involved.

The actors’ involvement was revealed by Benioff on Twitter, with the Bruno star replying: ‘Isla and I are so happy to have such persistent and generous partners in getting this done.

‘Businesses please follow and get PPE in through #ProjectHope in the US and #MailForce in the UK.’

The delivery included 50,000 coveralls and 100,000 masks flown over from China, with more equipment set to follow in the coming days.

Sacha and Isla, who have been married since 2010, are not the only celebrities helping out during the crisis.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have donated $1 million dollars to food banks, while Kylie and Kris Jenner have been sending water and hand sanitiser to healthcare workers in their city.

Meanwhile Lady Gaga put on a One World: Together At Home concert event to encourage corporations to put their hands in their pockets.

Deaths from coronavirus in the UK have surpassed 26,000.
