Dark Knight Rises and The Revenant actor first appeared on CBeebies back in 2016 for the channel’s Bedtime Stories show, where he delighted both children and parents alike. He will be reading out six new stories to viewers with the first one airing shown tonight (Monday, April 27). This evening’s story will be Hug Me and he will be joined by French bulldog Blue.
How Charlotte Riley saved Tom Hardy from heartbreak after divorce
Tom Hardy was first married Sarah Ward, with the couple tying the knot back in 1999.
The couple remained very private and so little was known about their relationship.
Hardy’s first major role was in mini-series Band of Brothers in 2001 and then Star Trek: Nemesis, so he was just starting out in his career at the time.
However, things turned sour between the couple and they got a divorce in 2004.

When speaking to Us Weekly about what he loved most about his new wife, Hardy said: “Aw, she’s pure. She’s just a very kind, pure person.”
She also welcomed the actor’s son with open arms when they got together.
Riley told The Daily Mail: “Louis is…the most incredible, intelligent, creative little human being I have ever met – he is amazing.”
She added: “I feel very honoured to be his stepmum.”
And then when questioned if she wanted to have children of her own one day, she replied: “Hell, yes, I want babies, lots of them. Definitely, absolutely definitely.”
