Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn shows off natural beauty with no makeup snap – The Sun

CORONATION Street star Katie McGlynn has revealed the British sunshine has forced her freckles to appear as she showed off a no make-up snap on her Instagram.

The former soap star took to Instagram on Monday to joke that her “freckles were coming along nicely” as she kept it casual in a white hooded sweatshirt and her hair in a loose top knot.

In January the actress scooped the Serial Drama Performance gong at the NTAs for her work as Sinead Tinker in the ITV soap.

She joined the soap seven years ago and left in October, when her character lost a long battle with cervical cancer.

Speaking about her next steps, the 26-year-old actress said: “I would try my luck in L.A.

“I’ve had some weird and wonderful meetings. All dependent on timing. I am going to LA to chase my dreams. If it doesn’t happen it doesn’t matter.”

“It is nerve-wracking but it’s exciting,” she added.

“I don’t like not knowing. I would love to play that kind of sassy or evil role, someone like Harley Quinn.”

The 26-year-old shed a whopping one stone after her exit from the soap, admitting she had been left feeling “dowdy and frumpy” during her latter weeks on the ITV soap.

Katie confessed she felt “very down” about her appearance, with her hectic schedule and late working hours not lending themselves well to training and healthy eating.

Her soap exit left more time for a healthy lifestyle, with a 12-week Ultimate Performance transformation plan helping her lose a stone in little under three months.

Katie, 26, gushed of her healthy transformation: “I am so happy with my overall physical and mental wellbeing after this transformation.

“I’ve lost a dress size, I’ve gained more muscle, I’m getting stronger in the gym. I feel like myself again, finally. I feel like back-to-normal Katie.”
